The William Fogg Library currently has an active Friends group, which organizes several fundraising events such as the Red, White & Chocolate Sale, held each Valentine’s Day, Eliot’s Annual Ice cream Social, Eliot Festival Days Fall Fundraiser and Piebrary Booth, Election Day Bake Sales and the Victorian Tea. The Friends play a vital role as we need to raise extra money to provide for special services for the library, maintenance of the historic building, and improvements. Recent fundraising has paid for a new heating and cooling system, and we are now raising funds for the Library Expansion Project.
We are always looking for additional helpers to assist with specific events. We are also always looking for ideas on fun and successful ways to raise funds. If you would like to help with an event or propose an idea, please see the Lend a Hand section, below, sign up at the front desk, or email the Friends President, Megan Weeks-Zotara at firstname.lastname@example.org
