The William Fogg Library organizes several events each year as part of its fundraising efforts. Some events are annual festivities, while others change from year to year. Check out this page, and the What’s Happening at the Library page, to learn about upcoming events. Event news is also posted in our newsletter, and on flyers at the library and around town.
If you would like to help sponsor an event, or volunteer, please visit our Friends & Fundraising page to learn more, or inquire at the library front desk.
This annual event is held the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. It is an old-fashioned family fun day featuring pony rides, horse-and-buggy rides, antique bicycles, maypole, homemade ice cream, old-time children’s games such as three-legged race and egg toss, decorated bike, trike and scooter parade, lots of good food, and free birthday cake and lemonade for all. The Fogg Homestead is also open for tours, and we always have musical entertainment as well.
Dr. Fogg’s Birthday is held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This event is usually held on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend each year.
This annual event quickly sells out, so get your tickets early! * Held the afternoon of the second Sunday in December at the Fogg Homestead, the Victorian Tea offers elegant sandwiches, delectable desserts, scones and cream, wonderful tea, and music, all in a beautifully decorated historic home.
